What am I doing again?

It's 91 days until my 40th birthday, but I already feel like I'm 91. I sit and write my stories. Then maybe I work on an oil painting, or I brew some homemade beer. I'll try to get lucky and low-ball some eBay bids. Tidy up around the house. Then I'll take the dog for a walk around the lake for an hour. I'll look at the pretty flowers, or comment to someone about all the carp swimming off shore. Maybe I'll take a photo and submit it to the local paper. Then I'll have some lunch, but nothing much. An apple and a hand full of almonds will suffice. Don't forget to hydrate. Then I'll do some stretches. I look around the neighborhood and everybody I see is retired. And I'm doing exactly the same thing they're doing. What? It has been nice and relaxing, but come on man.

The monotony has gotten old, no joke. The writer/stay-at-home dad gig is slowly making me crazy. I need to find work outside of the house. The summer will offer a fun change of pace, but once it's over...
