I just finished my latest draft of my novel, Forget Freeport. This manuscript has been changed and trimmed and rewritten so many times over the last couple years, but now it finally feels finished. (For now.) My 14-year-old daughter just devoured it in 8 hours, so that's a good sign. My mom hated it last time and loves it now. I do think that it's a great book for the YA audience and adults alike. I wish the novel would catch on with a literary agent, but maybe that's not the right route anymore. Covid 19 has killed libraries and bookshops across the world, so now may be the time to self publish. I've been researching Amazon/kindle for days now. A few more reads of this latest draft and I think it's ready to roll. Here are pics of my cover that I designed. Looks awesome!
The latest teaser goes like this:
"After tragedy strikes, Eric Daniels (15) must start over in a small town, where rumors fly and trouble follows. Though shy at heart, Eric meets neighborhood kids, builds his reputation, and excels at his first job. Then as soon as he lands his first kiss, he is betrayed and attacked by a jealous friend. Like most teens, Eric wants happiness, love and independence. He finds everything he ever wanted in Freeport, but how long can it last?"
