Tick Tick Tick

One of the biggest conflicts I've encountered as an aspiring author is... there is never enough time!!! I am conflicted with what I should focus on. Should I send out more queries? Should I start writing a sequel to Flywings? Should I write short stories and get those published? Should I pad my presence on social media? Speaking of the internet-- that is the biggest distraction of all. And it usually sucks the creativity right out of me.

There's always a propensity to be in a hurry. But with writing, I just need to step back, take a deep breath, and slow down. Progress takes a long time, and patience is key. Deep breath.

As long as I do my daily writing swim, at least my typing skills are honed. And I get to release some of the chaos from my mind. There is still plenty of time. There is still plenty of time. There is still plenty of time.
