Lately, I've been trying to stay creative, and not just writing alone. I've thought back on all the art I did as a kid. All of the painting, sculpting, drawing, and coloring. I did that stuff for years, and then I'm an adult, with a job, then a dad, and I'm busy, and art faded, and then it's gone. But that stuff made me so happy. For the first 25 years of my life I was always making something. So,guess what? It's time to pick up a paintbrush again, or even a crayon. Create something that I can hold. That's important to me. Not just typing all day. Bring myself back to my foundation, you know?
If you're ever unhappy, or bored with the old routine, think back on what you did as a kid. What did you enjoy most? What's missing now? Do it. Sports, art, reading, board games, music, cards, whatever.. Seriously, go do it. It feels really good.
